Perform routine and non-routine ballistic testing which confirms product meets customer specifications. Responsibilities (Essential Functions) include but not limited to: Perform a variety of physical and instrumental claibration and testing procedures safely, accurately and judiciously. Calibration, setup and operation of pressure measurement systems (transducers, strain gages). Record and maintain accurate analytical testing data using provided data sheets, excel spreadsheets and the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Comply with all site and area safety regulations and procedures. Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organized. Ensure all instruments and equipment are kept clean and functional. Operate and calibrate various types of testing equipment and instrumentation. Read, understand and validate processes and procedures. Troubleshoot, document and report upset conditions including instruments, equipment, methods, sample and production issues. Know basic electronic troubleshiping Participate in failure analysis and root cause analysis alongside team members from other areas of the site. Coordinate work with supervisor, co-workers and customers and effectively schedule multiple types of testing.
