We are the proud facilitators of Girl Scout camp at five Indiana locations, conveners of thousands of Girl Scout programs with nearly 600 community partners and serve thousands more community members each year at our STEM Center of Excellence and Founders Lodge Event and Conference Center. What You Will Do: The Chief Advancement Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and works in close partnership with the CEO, senior staff, and board to help the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana set the direction and ensure the organization’s longevity through a multifaceted strategy that advances the mission of Girl Scouts. In this role, the Chief Advancement Officer will lead a cohesive and strategically aligned Advancement Team—including fund development, marketing, and communications—to drive a unified vision that supports organizational priorities and sustains long-term revenue growth. The Chief Advancement Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated strategies that strengthen donor relationships, diversify and expand fundraising capacity, elevate mission-aligned storytelling, and increase developed income through a balanced and sustainable mix of revenue streams. Using data-informed decision-making, you will monitor development activities, oversee performance, and maintain forward momentum across all advancement functions. The successful applicant will bring proven experience as a fundraiser and organizational leader, with at least 10 years of management experience in a nonprofit or similar environment. The Chief Advancement Officer must be a mission-driven, strategic thinker who excels at solving complex problems, leading teams, inspiring collaboration, and cultivating a culture of philanthropy. A passion for relationship-based fundraising and advancing the mission of Girl Scouting is essential. How You Will Succeed: Understands that council priorities are growing membership, stewarding the existing donor base, and cultivating new donors. Develop an annual goal that supports the cultivation of new donors. Implement an action plan that supports the cultivation of new donors.
