About The Position

The Administrator/Facility Operations Officer at Norton Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives. This role involves achieving financial targets, quality and service outcomes, and fostering a collaborative environment with medical staff. The incumbent will work closely with senior leadership to enhance staff engagement and compliance with regulatory requirements while positioning the facility for future growth and quality improvement.

  • Five years of healthcare administration leadership at the executive level.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Implement system programs that support the recruitment, retention, and engagement of staff.
  • Promote staff members' job-related advancement and educational goals.
  • Ensure staff compliance with organizational, facility, state, federal, and accrediting bodies requirements.
  • Convey a clear vision of the facility's direction, challenges, and opportunities to staff.
  • Conduct regular employee forums and involve staff with expertise in planning and implementation.
  • Establish measurable performance expectations for direct reports and facility staff.
  • Manage complex physician relationships and contracts for services.
  • Monitor compliance with state, federal, and accrediting bodies requirements.
  • Identify potential quality initiatives and develop plans to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Develop performance improvement measures and assess performance against identified measures.
  • Ensure evidence-based key processes are followed for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Plan and prepare for projects, anticipating obstacles realistically.
  • Proactively problem-solve quality deficiencies.
  • Position facility for future revenue growth, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Market services of the facility through community involvement and physician contacts.
  • Work with marketing to develop strategies to raise awareness of the facility.
  • Assess the impact of legislation on future growth and reimbursement for care.
  • Assist in the growth of funds donated to the Norton Healthcare Foundations.
  • Design patient-friendly processes that ensure operational efficiency and clinical quality.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction scores meet established benchmarks.
  • Develop an annual operating budget and long-term capital expenditure plan.
  • Monitor expenditures and manage productivity/staffing levels to best practice benchmarks.
