About The Position

The Certified Chick-Fil-A Assistant Manager will support the Certified Chick-Fil-A Manager and be part of the management team for University Dining at Millersville University. This role involves supervising staff and assisting with food service operations in accordance with Chick-Fil-A standards, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for students and staff.

Requirements

• Associate degree in culinary arts.
• Five years of management experience in the hospitality industry.
• Supervisory experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of three background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Certified Chick-Fil-A Manager in daily operations.
• Supervise staff on a rotational basis.
• Ensure food service operations align with Chick-Fil-A standards.
• Develop vendor delivery schedules and manage receiving and storage procedures.
• Assist in budget preparation and evaluation of product impact on menu costs.
• Supervise a minimum of 15 staff members in a large-scale operation.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and administration.
• Lift food commodities and packages weighing up to 40 lbs.
