Requirements

• Current, active Home Health Aide certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication, observation, and critical-thinking skills.
• Compliance with HIPPA and all privacy and confidentiality policies.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of home health experience.
• Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with exercises/ROM exercises as prescribed.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide mobility assistance such as transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Take and record patient vital signs and report to RN.
• Assist with enemas and irrigation of catheters.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary needs per care plan.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean environment for the client.
• Promote safety and infection control for clients and coworkers.
• Maintain records related to job responsibilities.
