Chevrolet LOF Service Technician
About The Position
Joe Lunghamer Chevrolet Inc., a leading automotive dealership in Waterford Township, Michigan, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Chevrolet LOF (Lube, Oil, and Filter) Service Technician. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry that offers competitive compensation and benefits. As a LOF Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and servicing of Chevrolet vehicles in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for cars and a strong technical aptitude. We are willing to teach/train individuals with little to no automotive experience, as long you are of sound character. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic ( or value: Duty, Punctuality, Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, Willingness to Learn ).
- ASE certification is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Chevrolet vehicles and their systems are a plus
- Strong technical and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
Nice To Haves
- ASE certification is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Chevrolet vehicles and their systems are a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on Chevrolet vehicles (other makes and models at times), including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Visually inspect vehicles for leaks of any kind, belts, brakes, air/cabin filters, wiper blades, etc.
- Communicate with precise and exact language to service advisors to provide updates on vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Keep track of service schedules and maintain accurate service records
- Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and training on new Chevrolet models
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations in the workplace
