About The Position

The Chest Pain Program Coordinator for Cardiovascular Services at Texas Health Resources is a full-time role focused on enhancing the quality of care for chest pain patients. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including physicians and EMS partners, to ensure effective patient care and program operations. The coordinator will lead initiatives to collect and analyze patient care data, provide education, and facilitate communication among team members, all while adhering to best practices and clinical guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • 3 years of Med/Surg, Emergency, or Critical Care experience as an RN required.
  • 3 years of Critical Care preferred.
  • Specialty Certification upon hire preferred.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Advanced knowledge of current professional and health care issues and nursing practice.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the vision for the program in terms of operations, quality, and patient care.
  • Provide direction to the team by working closely with physicians, nursing, and support staff to ensure coordination of care for chest pain patients.
  • Collect, analyze, and share patient care data and improvement opportunities with stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback and education to EMS and all stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
