About The Position
Chess Wizards is seeking sparkling chess tutors to join our after-school enrichment program. We’re looking for special individuals who can cultivate children’s love for the game, make chess fun, and strengthen our students' life skills. Requirements
- Some chess ability! Champion level is not required, just a great attitude!
- Capability to drive between locations
- Maintain promptness and punctuality
- Implement CDC, School, and Chess Wizards COVID-19 prevention practices
Nice To Haves
- USCF rating is a plus!
- Teaching/tutoring/camp counselor experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Teach young ones that knowledge and creativity are true magic
- Encourage connections between chess problem-solving with real-life problem-solving
- Conduct interactive, friendly, and fun classes with 10-15 kids
- Be a positive role model and promote good sportsmanship
- Drive between locations
- Fully utilize Chess Wizard’s curriculum and class materials
- Maintain promptness and punctuality
- Implement CDC, School, and Chess Wizards COVID-19 prevention practices
