About The Position

Chess Wizards is seeking sparkling chess tutors to join our after-school enrichment program. We're looking for special individuals who can cultivate children's love for the game, make chess fun, and strengthen our students' life skills. Requirements

• Some chess ability; champion level is not required.
• Teaching/tutoring/camp counselor experience is a plus.
• Ability to drive between locations.
• Sincere drive to be a positive role model.

Nice To Haves

• USCF rating is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interactive, friendly, and fun classes with 10-15 kids.
• Encourage connections between chess problem-solving and real-life problem-solving.
• Impart good sportsmanship to youngsters.
• Utilize Chess Wizard's curriculum and class materials creatively.
• Maintain promptness and punctuality.

Benefits

• Competitive Pay: $50 - $75 per hour for a one and a half hour session.
