About The Position

Chess Wizards is seeking sparkling chess tutors to join our after-school enrichment program. We're looking for special individuals who can cultivate children's love for the game, make chess fun, and strengthen our students' life skills. Requirements

• Some chess ability; champion level is not required, but a great attitude is essential.
• USCF rating is a plus.
• Teaching/tutoring/camp counselor experience is a plus.
• Ability to drive between locations.
• Sincere drive to be a positive role model and promote good sportsmanship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in teaching or tutoring.
• Experience as a camp counselor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interactive, friendly, and fun classes with 10-15 kids.
• Encourage connections between chess problem-solving and real-life problem-solving.
• Utilize Chess Wizard's curriculum and class materials creatively.
• Implement CDC, School, and Chess Wizards COVID-19 prevention practices.
• Maintain promptness and punctuality.
