About The Position

The Registered nurse delivers care for patients across their life span, and through the use of the nursing process, assesses and documents the effects of care. Works cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, medical and other team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing.
• Must possess a current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee.
• Current certification in BLS.
• One year of experience in acute care area is required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients ranging from adolescence through geriatrics.
• Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures, patient care procedures.
• Ability to operate technical equipment as acquired through orientation.
