About The Position

Job Summary: Performs pharmaceutical dispensing duties. Assists the pharmacist in providing prescribed pharmaceuticals for the designated Oncology patient population. Maintains equipment of the area. Monitors, orders, and stocks supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Mississippi.
• Must be certified as a CPhT by successful completion of the PTCB or ExCPT exam.
• Must be chemotherapy certified or complete certification within 180 days of hire.
• 1 year experience in a medical pharmaceutical setting.
• Knowledge of medical abbreviations, drug strengths, IV solutions, drug generic and brand names, and basic pharmacy operations.
• Good organizational skills and basic math skills.
• Must work well independently and as part of a team.
• Must have knowledge and skills to operate a computer.
