About The Position

The Chemistry Technician position at Astrix Technology involves supporting scientific research in preclinical Research and Development. The role focuses on assisting chemists in the development, research, and production of novel peptides and peptide conjugates, particularly for radiotherapeutic applications. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry to gain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry.
• Experience in peptide synthesis is a plus.
• Proficiency in the use of HPLC for purification and analytical purposes is highly desired.
• Previous experience with diafiltration and/or Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and chemical drawing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist chemists in the manual and automated solid-phase synthesis, purification, and characterization of peptides.
• Synthesize small to intermediate-size molecules using common organic synthesis techniques.
• Utilize HPLC and LC/MS for peptide characterization and purification workflows.
• Plan, execute, and document work under the guidance of a supervisor.
• Organize time effectively to meet project timelines.
• Research literature to help solve problems associated with current and future projects.
