About The Position

The Chemistry Technician I position at Astrix Technology Group is an entry-level role focused on supporting scientific research in preclinical Research and Development. The technician will assist chemists in developing and producing novel peptides and peptide conjugates, utilizing high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and other techniques. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Experience with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
• Entry-level position suitable for recent graduates.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in peptide synthesis is a plus.
• Proficiency in the use of HPLC for purification and analytical purposes is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist chemists in the development, research, and production of novel peptides and peptide conjugates.
• Conduct manual and automated solid-phase synthesis, purification, and characterization of peptides.
• Synthesize small to intermediate-size molecules using common organic synthesis techniques.
• Utilize HPLC and LC/MS for peptide characterization and purification workflows.
• Plan, execute, and document work under the guidance of a supervisor.
• Organize time effectively to meet project timelines.
• Research literature to help solve problems associated with current and future projects.
