About The Position
The Connecticut River Academy (http://www.ctriveracademy.org) is a Sustainability Studies/Early College magnet school operated by Goodwin University on its river campus in East Hartford serving students in grades 6 through 12. We are anticipating an opening for a (1) full time High School Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators for the 2026-2027 school year. An ideal candidate is someone who has an ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds and interests. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong desire to work with students from urban and suburban settings, and possess an understanding of and appreciation for multicultural education. Certification or evidence of eligibility is required. Goodwin University Magnet Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree required
- certification in appropriate area of instruction
- CSDE Certification Chemistry Teacher: 031
Nice To Haves
- Masters degree preferred
- Work experience in meeting the needs of racially, ethnically, socioeconomically and linguistically diverse groups of youth is desirable.
