About The Position

Waters is seeking a strong commercial leader for the role of Chemistry Sales Manager. This position is responsible for leading, developing, and managing a team of Chemistry and Consumables Sales Specialists within an assigned geographic region. The Chemistry Sales Manager drives regional growth by setting strategic direction, developing talent, ensuring accurate forecasting, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver sustained commercial success.This role combines hands-on sales leadership with strategic planning, coaching, and performance management, ensuring the team delivers customer-focused solutions across Waters’ chemistry and consumables portfolio. The Chemistry Sales Manager plays a critical role in building a high-performing, engaged team that is viewed by customers as trusted scientific and business partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of BS/BA in chemistry or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years LC and/or LC/MS experience.
  • Sales experience, including sales management experience
  • Action oriented, organized and meticulous, and self-driven
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, listening, and presentation skills
  • Mature disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
  • Adaptive to dynamic and changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of Chemistry Sales Specialists through clear expectations, ongoing feedback, onboarding, and career development.
  • Build and sustain technical, commercial, and consultative selling excellence while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute a regional business plan aligned with corporate strategy, translating objectives into actionable territory‑level priorities.
  • Drive new business development and competitive account penetration through strong alignment between sales specialists, account managers, and marketing partners.
  • Own regional forecasting accuracy by actively managing pipeline health, opportunity quality, conversion trends, and key commercial KPIs.
  • Identify performance risks and growth opportunities, implementing corrective actions to deliver sustained revenue, growth, and customer engagement.
  • Maintain senior‑level customer relationships, support high‑impact technical engagements, act as an escalation point, and partner cross‑functionally to ensure operational excellence and effective CRM utilization
