The Science Department at Chatham University is seeking qualified candidates to teach the following courses in Spring of 2026 (1/5/26 – 4/28/26): CHM216LW – Organic Chemistry Lab (Mondays, 2-6 pm) Chemistry of organic functional groups. Identification of unknowns and a multistep synthesis. This lab accompanies the Organic Chemistry II lecture course. CHM339 – Biochemistry II (Mon/Wed/Fri, 12-12:50 pm) Metabolism is studied with an emphasis on anabolic pathways and special pathways such as cytochrome P450. Other topics include molecular genetics and protein synthesis, hormones and receptors, and immunology. CHM343 – Environmental Chemistry (Tue/Thu, 10-11:15 am) This course is an advanced study of the chemical principles underlying common environmental problems. It aims to deepen the student's knowledge of chemistry and its role in the environment and shows the power of chemistry as a tool to help us comprehend the changing world around us. Duties and Responsibilities: This position's primary responsibility is teaching. Course syllabi and materials used in previous terms are provided for instructor use. We welcome adjunct faculty who will collaborate on continued course development with the Science Department.
