As the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy, Constellation is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a carbon-free future. The Chemist/Sr. Chemist position is pivotal in managing and directing chemistry programs within the organization. This role involves reviewing data, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Sr. Chemist will also be responsible for writing reports, managing special projects, and training personnel. A significant aspect of this position is maintaining analytical and radioanalytical instrumentation, as well as in-line instrumentation, to ensure quality control in all chemistry-related activities. The Sr. Chemist will routinely function in a mentoring role, utilizing their extensive experience to operate with minimal oversight. This position requires active participation in plant walkdowns and troubleshooting plans, providing leadership and mentoring to support chemistry programs, and facilitating communication with various site departments. Additionally, the role includes preparing and delivering training sessions related to chemistry, participating in the Emergency Response Organization (ERO), and being part of the on-call duty rotation. The Chemist/Sr. Chemist will also engage in the Station Oversight Committee (SOC) to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance are maintained throughout the organization.
