About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Chemist to support manufacturing operations through hands-on laboratory testing, process analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure product quality and resolve process-related challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience
• Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with chemical processing and mechanical testing techniques
• Background in manufacturing, quality, or materials
• Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100, PWA specifications, MCL Manual)
• Experience with lab instrumentation such as ICP-OES and AAS
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemistry testing (titrations, pH analysis, stock loss testing)
• Prepare and test raw materials using established methods
• Analyze process solutions and collaborate with Production/Engineering on root cause and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate lab records, reports, and testing schedules
• Investigate part and process-related issues
• Maintain and update lab standard work documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and team-based problem solving
• Assist with training and provide occasional off-shift coverage as needed
