We are currently seeking to fill a Chemist position at LyondellBasell's at Bayport POTBA site, which is located 25 miles from downtown Houston, TX. This site consists of three POTBA plants that produce propylene oxide (PO), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), propylene glycol, propylene glycol ethers, tertiary butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP), and ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE). The Chemist will provide technical, operational, and analytical support to the Quality Control laboratory (Lab), production units, and business teams for driving improvements to product quality processes and the Lab. The Chemist also supports compliance requirements for ISO, ASTM and other industry standards. The focus of the position is to ensure the Lab provides accurate, reliable, and timely data to support both internal and external customers.
