Our federal client conducts chemical analyses to support rapid and precise regulatory decision-making. As a member of the Computational Toxicology Consultation Service team, the Cheminformatics Researcher will lead clear, accurate communication of project's consultation plans, findings, and results to internal stakeholders and external collaborators at all levels. This role involves establishing time estimates and resources for project execution, acquiring and assembling data for expert review of chemical models, processing chemical structures, and generating chemistry model predictions. The researcher will determine the probable in-vitro toxicity, animal toxicity, or adverse human clinical effects of approximately 10 chemicals per week. Key responsibilities also include cataloging and recording experimental data in an appropriate format for sharing and publishing, documenting detailed methods and procedures for reproducibility, summarizing and quality assuring data, and maintaining an archive of results in the department knowledge database. The position aims to improve the performance of chemistry models for future regulatory research project assessments and requires attendance at relevant applied regulatory science and drug innovation department meetings.
