About The Position

Chemical Synthesis Engineering Specialist The Opportunity: This is an experience for a hands-on person motivated by chemical engineering, manufacturing processes, and advanced engineering principles to support the nation's warfighter. You can be on the front lines, developing new materials, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, and scaling production! You'll perform professional engineering and scientific work involving chemical processes utilized by industries and scientific technologies to produce products and systems. You'll apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. You'll work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. You'll operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience with chemical synthesis and process design
• Knowledge of process chemical plant design and operation, polymers, and manufacturing environments
• Ability to mentor more junior chemical engineers in the principles of chemical synthesis and process design
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of energetic materials and explosives
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field

• Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
• The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
• The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
