The South Plant Production Operator performs all essential duties with particular emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. Some of the key functions include but are not limited to:

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Technician experience is required.
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
Must be able to read and performs manufacturing work instructions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Maintains a strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing all aspects of the job
Solid troubleshooting and decision-making skills
Ability to perform basic computer functions
Strong mechanical ability
Team work skills

Nice To Haves

Fork Truck Certification desired
HAZMAT training (Hazwoper, etc) or experience desirable, but not required
Computer skills such as SAP knowledge and Microsoft Office a plus

Responsibilities

Performs work in accordance with the production schedule provided by inventory planning.
Informs supervisors of any significant problems, issues or concerns.
Completes production records and inventory transactions.
Updates process documentation (batch sheets) as work processes are completed.
Updates raw material inventory using computer software (SAP).
Follows established production procedures and instructions.
Follows quality and safety standards.
Meets production deadlines.
Cleans, secures, and maintains work areas.
Performs shipping and receiving functions in the South Plant
