About The Position

The Chemical Process Engineer will provide leadership and personal involvement in the Development, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Maintenance of immersion component materials to ensure compatibility with immersion fluids used in company IT Equipment (ITE) immersion cooled solutions. The role includes project engineering and process engineering design support for all material compatibility testing projects, as well as the development of life cycle monitoring and maintenance of company immersion compatible materials, documented within the company's engineering systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of responsible post-baccalaureate laboratory work or experience in facilities or operations engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of related industry experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various engineering teams.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards such as API, NFPA, ASME, ASTM, BS / EN.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier locations as required.

  • Experience in chemical process projects.
  • Knowledge of Business Management System (BMS) processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform process simulations, design calculations, process optimization, and sizing & selection of equipment to meet material compatibility standards.
  • Review and collaborate with dielectric fluid manufacturers on immersion fluid specifications and material compatibility test reporting.
  • Prepare engineering deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams, P & I Diagrams, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, and HAZOP Studies.
  • Engage with a multi-discipline team for efficient design workflow.
  • Review material compatibility testing designs and cost estimates.
  • Provide engineering leadership for material compatibility lab specifications and testing setups.
  • Prepare material compatibility technical specifications for review and approval.
  • Monitor subcontracted technical service activities.
  • Assist in developing design guides and operating procedures for chemical testing programs.
  • Lead R&D team in chemical analysis of immersion materials and fluid compatibility testing.
  • Develop company technical standards and documentation for thermal interface material.
  • Guide engineers and technicians through material compatibility processes.
  • Act as safety supervisor for the lab, ensuring safety systems and training.
  • Prepare and issue Statements of Work (SOW) and evaluate fluid manufacturers' documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Engage with partners and customers to demonstrate lab processes.
  • Participate in industry standards and specification bodies.
