About The Position

The Chemical Process Engineer at Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) will provide technical assistance in daily operational activities across the mill. This role involves designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving mill processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with specifications and codes. The engineer will utilize engineering software for design tasks and will be responsible for coordinating various manufacturing and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Paper Science or Chemical Engineering.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance in daily operational activities mill-wide.
• Design, implement, maintain, and improve mill processes, equipment, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes.
• Operate ACAD engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and operating requirements.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications of systems, and location drawings to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
