We are seeking resumes for multiple Chemical Process Engineers in our Valdosta, GA. Paper Mill. The Process Engineer is responsible for providing process optimization and engineering support for the mill which will include but not limited to, compliance process coordination, lean projects, quality, and product safety, and analytical and systems support.

  • Develops and maintains methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.
  • Coordinate the efforts of our outside resources to improve our operation by filtering and utilizing appropriate information.
  • Conduct data analysis projects and uses data to make business decisions.
  • Ensure that pulp, power, paper and all support operations are compliant with all applicable environmental State and Federal permits and laws.
  • Consult with engineering on capital planning and project implementation for process modifications or upgrades.
  • Support the Mills goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need.
  • Effectively manage jobs for the best result at the lowest cost.
  • Look for opportunities to solve issues, reduce cost, and improve planning performance.
  • Effectively manages contractors for performing jobs.
  • Performs other responsibilities as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science or equivalent education and experience required.
  • A minimum of 1-4 years’ experience in process engineering or production in the Pulp & paper industry.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
  • Successful completion of drug screen required and authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Pulp & Paper Manufacturing Industry experience preferred.
