About The Position

As a Chemical Process Engineer II here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will provide technical expertise to ensure the operation produces product that meets all quality, cost, and efficiency requirements to a 24/7 manufacturing facility. This role will identify ways to improve safety, quality, yields, and the capability of existing processes while also assisting in the scale up and implementation of developmental products/processes. Core challenges include leading continuous process improvement to drive Key Performance Indicators for the operation, to meet goals established by the business along with providing technical guidance to the operations team, and to assist with process troubleshooting along with developing corrective action plans. Responsibilities

  • Lead productivity projects yielding significant reductions in defects/costs and increased productivity
  • Maintain engineering documents and participate in PHAs that execute on recommendations to eliminate process safety hazards
  • Develop Pre-Feed/FEL-1 packages for capital projects
  • Work on projects that optimize energy consumption and could help in reducing expenses to operate in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement
  • Utilize Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements
  • Identify process KPIs and work independently or on a team to reduce process variability and waste through process unit operations optimization
  • Work closely with other operational engineers to develop and implement innovative engineering solutions to improve OEE
  • Utilize MOC process to manage changes
  • Support operations in troubleshooting daily process issues as needed
  • Develop new SOPs or update existing ones as needed
  • Relief Valve Sizing and package creation
