Chemours is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer Co-op to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team. This position will be available at the Pass Christian, MS location and report directly to the Co-op Coordinator. As a Process Engineering Co-op, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Technology team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom. Location: Pass Christian, MS Hours: Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week Preferred First Term: Summer May-August 2026 Candidates must be able to commit to at least two (2) co-op terms; preferably three (3) terms. This co-op program consists of rotating semesters where students will alternate between school semesters and work terms. First Work Term: Summer May-August 2026 Second Work Term: Spring January-May 2027 Third Work Term: Fall August-December 2027

Requirements

  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
  • Completion of initial Engineering coursework

Responsibilities

  • Working with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects
  • Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
  • Participating in process safety management activities and reviews
  • Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
  • Communicating tests and other ongoing work with engineering mentors, operations, management, etc.
