Work within the pilot plant supporting process development and scale-up activities Receive hands-on mentoring from senior engineers Support development of new processes and equipment for food, consumer, and chemical products Participate in trial runs and pilot-scale experimentation Support internal teams and external clients with technical execution

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
1–5 years of experience, including co-op or internship experience
Experience as a development engineer or process engineer preferred
Demonstrated hands-on engineering experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple technical tasks
Experience with process simulation tools

Nice To Haves

Strong engineering fundamentals demonstrated through coursework, GPA, or technical projects
Creative problem-solving ability and technical curiosity
Experience with CAD software
Exposure to PLCs, CFD, or process automation
Experience designing equipment from concept through installation
Familiarity with pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and related process equipment

Responsibilities

Perform computer-based process simulations
Develop and optimize new chemical and manufacturing processes
Set up and execute pilot plant experiments
Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental and process data
Specify new equipment for pilot and production environments
Support trial runs and process validation activities
Work with outside fabricators on equipment design and build
Interface with internal stakeholders and external clients during development projects
