The Chemical Operator works a rotational schedule to maintain 24-hour operation of the manufacturing processes at our Rochester, NY plant.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment; entry level candidates will be considered.
• Chemical manufacturing or chemical experience background highly preferred.
• Familiarity and comfort with computers and hand tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in chemical manufacturing processes.
• Certifications related to chemical operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical operation tasks including blending, extracting, drying, distillations, and effecting size reductions.
• Acquire a working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO requirements.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and hazardous waste during normal operations.
• Constantly strive to improve process knowledge and obtain new certifications while maintaining existing certifications.
• Inform supervision in a timely manner of conditions that may affect safety, quality, capacity, or cause a process equipment hazard.
• Plan and respond to emergencies involving hazardous waste.

• Hourly pay between $24.00 to $26.00, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
