About The Position

Active participant in high performance team responsible for the daily manufacturing activities in the Polyamine area- oversees production in one reactor for polymer based finished product batches, unloads bulk raw materials, packages material as needed; transfers waste, pallets and used containers; handles inbound packaged goods and supplies for area

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of chemical manufacturing and related equipment, safe chemical handling/ packaging, ability to safely operate a powered industrial truck.
Computer Skills (MS word, Excel, Lotus notes, SAP)
Excellent communication and organizational skills, a sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize work, and the mind-set for safety and attention to detail.
Good Teamwork skills.
Ability to perform manual labor including walking up and down stairs, climbing on and off forklift, crouching to make tie in for rail car unloading and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Works in an active chemical manufacturing environment between a control room, outside process equipment area and warehouse/ charging area
Works rotating shifts
Ambient environmental conditions apply (rain, cold, heat, etc)
Frequently traverses steps and walks across uneven surfaces
May bend, squat or kneel periodically during day, lifts loads of up to 50 lbs, exerts force by pushing and pulling while using grip strength
Required to wear special PPE when unloading chemicals including impervious chemical suit and respirator with chemical boots and gloves.
