About The Position

Drives PIP initiatives (Safety, Quality, PIP behaviors, etc) Coordinate and oversee operations in assigned building, ability to flex work force, etc. Supports Shift Supervisor by overseeing work cells in each building, ensuring all cells performance is on track to goals, making corrections if needed to meet targets. Conduct shift rounds and Leadership Standard Work (LSW) tasks. Conduct and/or lead gemba activities pertaining to safety, quality, and productivity. Works autonomously within established procedures and practices. Meaning, must follow standard work, policies and procedures. Promotes and enforces team building. Provides support & training for Level 1, 2 and 3 individuals in their area Send reports pertaining to safety, quality, productivity such as safety/environmental incident reports, suspect/scrap reports, production shift reports, etc. Must arrive at work 30 minutes to an hour prior to shift start for proper shift turnover and preparation for start of shift Perform all functions of a Supervisor, in his/her absence, with the exception of tasks such as issuing corrective action to direct reports, entering time into timekeeping system, etc. Has developed expertise, typically through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills - can correct advanced issues and escalate for help if needed Leadership skills and integrity to oversee operations in assigned building Excellent attendance and role model for team members Must be able to interpret and write work instructions Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Continuous improvement mindset Must be able to build strong teams through motivation and coaching Computer skills (Microsoft Office) Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
