About The Position

The Chemical Operator works in a warehouse focusing on chemical handling, safety, and operating a forklift. They must operate with all chemicals utilizing Webb’s safety protocols, Work Instructions, PPE and adhere to safety standards for each and every work zone. This is an effort to outline the responsibilities of the position to include, but not limited to, all the following and additional responsibilities as assigned by management. REPORTS TO: Fort Wayne Operations Supervisor DIRECT REPORTS: NONE

Requirements

Forklift Operator experience
Good housekeeping habits
Ability to recognize potential hazards and correct them
Weight- lift 50-100lbs
Over shoulder and above head
Low to ground bend/scoot
Climb stairs and ladders
Gripping/ Hands Lifting

Responsibilities

Packaging chemicals off of Tankers
Monitoring floor scale
Monitoring the waste water tank
Taking monthly samples from the waste water tank
Monitoring samples in the sample cabinets
Asset management (empty assets coming in, prepping for drumming and storage)
Inventory management of drumming supplies (caps, lids, gaskets, etc.)
Driving capability
Operating forklift to load/unload trucks
Working with Inventory Management System
Barcoding, loading boxes, shipping/receiving, repackaging, correct labeling
Transferring hazardous chemicals into containers/tankers
Filling out all paperwork for Bulk correctly
Properly loading assets into TrackAbout
Proper use of safety equipment and safety showers
Following, improving, and updating work instructions
Reporting and being an active part of the continual improvement process
Audits
Following safety procedures
Working outdoors in varying weather conditions daily/year-round
Check in with Supervisor/Lead before punching out daily for any final assignments
Other duties as assigned
