Chemical Operator - 2nd & 3rd shift
About The Position

We also offer Crystal Hypochlorite, which through a series of special filtering steps, produces a bleach solution of extraordinary quality. Key duties will include loading/unloading trucks, railcars and barges with a variety of chemical products. Chemical operators will run a small batch manufacturing operation within the terminal.
Requirements
- Completed High School degree
- 0-4 Years of chemical manufacturing and/or distribution experience
- 1-5 Years of manufacturing or other heavy industrial experience
- Must be able to read/write/speak English
- Must be proficient in basic mathematics
- Must be able to pass a position based physical fitness test
Nice To Haves
- Experience with driving OTR trucks either on the road or in a plant environment
- Experience with Safety and/or Quality programs
- Experience handling Chlor-Alkali, flammable/combustible, petroleum or other hazardous materials
Responsibilities
- Load and unload barges, tank cars and tank trucks with a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
- Running a small batch manufacturing process.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork associated with the manufacturing/unloading/loading operations.
- Contribute to safety and quality meetings.
- Identify maintenance work and work with the Terminal or Manufacturing Supervisors to facilitate repairs as necessary.
- Perform incidental maintenance work on equipment as needed.
- Perform minor maintenance work on buildings and property as needed.
- General housekeeping of work area and other misc. duties as necessary.
