In your future role as a Chemical Operator, you will Ensure compliance in all aspects of safety with all applicable regulations (Nouryon and regulatory). Actively participate in BBS program. Conduct 5S activities for the production area. Conduct autonomous maintenance in production area (including motor lubrication, boiler operations, failure identification, etc.). Produce finished products (including blended products) using the documented operating procedures in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. Analyze in-process, finished product, and raw materials using documented lab procedures. Receive raw materials in accordance with documented work procedures and schedule delivery of bulk raw material as ordered by the Plant Scheduler and Planner. Ensure site security outside of regular business hours (including weekends and holidays). Qualified to operate all manufacturing processes of the Augusta site. Log and account for production, quality data, and losses. Keep workplace and tools in order and accessible. Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or the Site Manager. Follow the process and procedures. Operates the plant within the specified control limits. Empowered to make decisions within defined boundaries.   • High school diploma or GED required with >5 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing.
  • Ability to do basic math calculations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems while maintaining a timely and cost effective approach.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; communicates effectively with various employee groups, contractors and management.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Requires daily contact with employees in other departments.
  • Requires daily contact with shipping Co personnel.
  • Ability to work shifts.
  • Overtime coverage is required, particularly for short-notice absences of other shift members.
  • May work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time.
  • May use hand tools and operate fixed and mobile plant equipment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP R/3, Delta V.
  • Strong organization skills.
