Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent GED.
  • Reliable attendance record and willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and plan/schedule daily work to accomplish multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills with other shifts and day staff.
  • Able to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to utilize drum carts and mechanical aids to assist in movement of drums weighing up to 500 lbs.
  • Fork truck and hand cart operation is required on both day and night shift.
  • Familiarity with computer software such as SAP or Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the safe operation of the Beauty&Home operational area.
  • Operate two reactor systems, size reduction equipment, and packaging equipment.
  • Handle finished goods packaging, raw material handling, or other miscellaneous tasks when reactor systems are not operating.
  • Maintain total compliance to all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements of the department.
  • Set-up and monitor the extruder equipment using DeltaV and/or local control panels.
  • Stage, label, fill, and ship finished product from reactors.
  • Perform housekeeping and 5S in process area on regular basis to ensure a safe operation.
  • Accurate administrative record keeping such as shift logs or spreadsheets, startup checklists, waste logs, status logs, environmental logs and production reporting.
  • Perform SAP transactions as required, including production reporting and inventory look up.
  • Work with process engineers, production coordinator, Control Room Operators, and foreman to maintain smooth operation, open communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Diagnose process and equipment problems and either make minor repairs or submit work notifications.
  • Successfully complete initial and annual refresher training to maintain certification.
