The Night Shift Mixing Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate manufacturing of chemical solutions for the downstream coating operation. Functions of this role include raw material weighing, small and large batch preparation, solution testing, solution transfer maintenance and reporting of chemical solutions.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively for short durations.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in basic math and computer skills—Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills working with little direct supervision.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Approaches problems and challenges systematically with attention to detail.
  • Interfaces well with others at all levels in both written and spoken communication.
  • Ability to meet the requirements for powered industrial truck operator licensing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) process.
  • Experience with PLC driven HMI process control.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all work instructions including both standard and change documentation.
  • Pre-weigh raw materials and prepare chemical solutions.
  • Understand and follow proper use of PPE including respirator use.
  • Test completed solutions.
  • Appropriately handle hazardous waste.
  • Accurately complete production reporting.
  • Execute special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Training of new operators.

Benefits

  • $21.00/hr to $25.00/hr depending on experience.
