About The Position

The Role: Entegris is currently seeking a Chemical Operator II to join our Operations/Blends team. This position will be based in our Burnet, TX facility. In this role, you will join a dynamic team of operators, engineers, and chemists whose focus is to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality while meeting or exceeding our customers’ expectations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the operations of mixing tanks, sampling, filling, inspecting, and packaging our products for shipment to our global customers. The ideal candidate will recognize the critical value of ensuring consistent execution of tasks while striving for continuous improvement. SHIFT SCHEDULE IS A 3-2-2-3, 5AM-5PM OR 5PM-5AM. 8 HRS OT ON BIWEEKLY CHECK. TRAINING WILL BE ON A 7AM-4PM SHIFT.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field a plus
  • 2 + years of Technical, mechanical, or comparable work experience.
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals is strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office applications (SAP and PLC experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with working in ISO 9000/14000 environments.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Dependability with flexibility to work overtime as needed to support business needs.
  • Safety focus with ability to wear appropriate PPE as required.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and push up to 130lbs.
  • Ability to attain respirator certification

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor, manufacturing, or operations experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh, add and blend chemicals in blending process to ensure high safety, quality and throughput of production products.
  • Fill various sized canisters with chemistry and package as a finished good product.
  • Pull chemistry samples and submit them to the lab for analysis.
  • Perform inspection of complete product to ensure proper quality standards.
  • Operate PLC controlled equipment and keep accurate and up-to-date records and data sheets.
  • Recognize equipment problems and troubleshooting issues to achieve optimum production output.
  • Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures, and make recommendations to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Interact with various teams including Leadership, Engineering, Analytical Lab and Logistics.
