About The Position

The Chemical Mixing Technician is responsible for following production schedules, gathering necessary materials, and manufacturing products according to written instructions. Key duties include inspecting incoming materials, managing chemical inventory using FIFO guidelines, and preparing orders for shipment. The role also involves inspecting, monitoring, and operating various chemical mixing equipment such as pumps, mixing tanks, forklifts, and meters. The technician is expected to monitor and record critical information like tank levels, chemical usage, and weights, and to maintain the chemical mixing areas in good condition, actively participating in 5S and improvement programs.

• Must have good analytical and math skills
• Must have good written and verbal communications skills
• Must have the ability to work independently while accomplishing numerous job requirements
• Must have a record of dependability and good attendance
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed (including holidays and weekends)

Responsibilities

• Report to Chemical Mixing Manager.
• Follow production schedule for chemical mixing.
• Gather all materials needed for production and follow written instructions to manufacture products.
• Inspect incoming materials and place into inventory, following FIFO guidelines
• Rotate chemical inventory as needed
• Prepare orders for shipment per customer requirements
• Inspect, monitor, and operate all equipment relating to chemical mixing operations (pumps, mixing tanks, forklifts, meters, etc.)
• Monitor/record all required information (tank levels, chemical usage, weights, etc.)
• Maintain Chemical Mixing areas, and keep in good condition and actively participate in 5S and improvement programs
