About The Position
ORG Chem Group is seeking a dedicated Chemical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Evansville, IN. As a custom chemical processor, we specialize in various distillation technologies, pastillation, blending, reaction chemistry purification, and heat transfer fluids. Our mission is to minimize the environmental impact of our industry by safely and sustainably extracting residual value from materials, allowing them to be reintroduced to the market in a cost-effective manner. This position is essential to our operations, as it involves performing analytical testing, sample handling, and the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment. The Chemical Laboratory Technician will work the 2nd shift, from Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with some overtime as needed. Initially, day shift hours will be required until training is complete. The technician will be responsible for producing reliable and precise data to support plant operations, quality assurance, and product/process improvement objectives. This includes securing, inventorying, and evaluating plant samples, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment, and ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and organized. Additionally, the technician will be involved in shipping customer samples and performing mathematical calculations for the interpretation and presentation of analytical results, all while adhering to strict safety procedures.
