About The Position

Baker Hughes is a global energy technology leader supporting customers across the energy value chain. Our laboratory teams play a critical role in supporting product quality, testing, and continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and compliance.
As a Chemical Lab Technician, you will support laboratory operations by performing routine testing, assisting with analysis, and resolving less complex technical issues. You will work under established procedures and escalate more complex problems to the next level, ensuring accurate results and smooth lab operations.

Requirements

• Have a High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience in a laboratory environment, or
• Have an associate’s degree with 5+ years of laboratory experience, or
• Have a bachelor’s degree in biology or chemistry (preferred); recent graduates are welcome and no industrial experience is required.
• Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic laboratory issues.
• Have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
• Be comfortable working in a regulated laboratory environment with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

• Have a bachelor’s degree in biology or chemistry (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performing laboratory tasks in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Supporting routine laboratory testing, data collection, and documentation activities.
• Maintaining accurate records of tests, results, and observations.
• Assisting with general lab operations to ensure efficient and compliant workflows.
• Following all safety, quality, and compliance requirements within the lab environment.
