Let’s see if we have “Chemistry"!  We are currently seeking a Chemical Handling Technician Trainee to join our GFS Chemicals Family at our Kaderly Drive location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent is required
  • Respect for the chemicals they will be working with
  • Ability to function in a team environment or working independently
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Safety conscience
  • Detail-oriented and punctual
  • Good housekeeping skills
  • Adaptive learner, good retention
  • Ability to read weights and measures
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Proficient reading and writing skills
  • Knowledge of hazard handling and waste disposal
  • Arrive to work clean and change into clean company provided uniforms
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random substance abuse screenings

Responsibilities

  • The incumbents will repack bulk material into smaller quantities for production orders.
  • Prepare leaching solutions/mixtures according to a “prep” for bottling and prepare bottles for production use.
  • They will ensure the finished goods material is passed by Quality Control before being repacked, and that bottles are passed by quality before being issued for production.
  • Repackaged quantities will be entered into the ERP system once work is complete.
