About The Position

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced chemical handler. Under close supervision, Prepare, setup, weigh, package, fill and label. Work in accordance with cGMP, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and departmental procedures to meet customer demands. Operate production scales, including verifications and calibrations. Package finished product for shipping (boxing, labeling) by Work Instructions. Handle hazardous materials using all appropriate or mandatory safety gear. 3rd Shift 11:00PM - 7:30AM

Requirements

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Must know how to operate reach truck, pallet jack and forklift.
• Be reliable and detail-oriented
• Works safely within the parameters of and comply with company Work Instructions and policies.
• Weighs and fills chemicals or bulk products in accordance with Production Work Order (PWO).
• Follows cGMP policies and procedures for handling, storage, packing, manufacturing and distributing products.
• Supports co-workers in their job responsibilities and is expected to work as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Operates production scales, including verifications and calibrations.
• Setup, operate, clean and maintain the following equipment: automatic heat sealer, electronic floor scale, digitalis pumps, crusher, auger filling unites, autoclave unites, vibrating filler units, induction sealing equipment, portable exhaust hood, and other equipment as required.
• Packages finished product for shipping (boxing, labeling) by Work Instructions.
• Handles hazardous materials using all appropriate or mandatory safety gear.
• Sweep and mops floors and cleans the workstation after each product filling.
• Completes documentation in a legible manner; verifies and reviews for accuracy.
• Maintains expected quality and quantity of work.
• Moves partial leftover containers of product to the designated area for relocation back into stock.
• Take precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Ensure doors always stay locked and only authorized personnel enter the facility.
