About The Position

The Filling and Packaging Operator II is responsible for more advanced setup and operation of liquid filling and packaging lines, including troubleshooting and performing complex mechanical adjustments. They ensure compliance with quality standards, maintain detailed production records, and assist in training new operators.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, safety warning labels, and machine instruction manuals.
  • Basic math, writing, and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience working with liquid filling machinery, pumps, valves, piping, and cGMP's.
  • Previous experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in an FDA or other regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Daily setup and operation of the complete filling and packaging line, including various equipment such as bottle in-feed, unscrambler, labeler, bottle filler, bottle capper, plugger, cap torquer, Videojet code dater, check weigher, bar coder, and case sealer.
  • Notify supervisor of the need for packaging supplies or other materials.
  • Ensure correct hose hookups and operation of control panels.
  • Meet production schedules and keep written records as required.
  • Set up and perform minor maintenance on all filling line equipment.
  • Perform proper palletization of finished or unfinished products.
  • Exercise caution to avoid damage to materials or property while operating equipment.
  • Responsible for proper filling, weighing, capping, sealing, casing, labeling, and coding of products.
  • Setup and adjustment of equipment for various size containers.
  • Adjust weights for various size containers as needed.
  • Record daily production and other documentation as required by management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Mark containers of hazardous waste appropriately.
  • Perform quality and inventory control data gathering and input.
