Your Opportunity Stantec's multi-disciplinary office in Houston, TX has an opportunity for a highly motivated Chemical Engineering Intern. Join our team as we create new ways to tap into water's vast potential. Stantec's Houston, TX office has an opportunity for a Chemical Engineering Intern to join their Water practice. Stantec's Industrial Water team is a dynamic team of experts working across a wide range of industries including energy, power, semiconductors, manufacturing, datacenters, and food & beverage. The successful candidate will: Assist the local project delivery team with report and documentation preparation, project administration, and research assistance Develop spreadsheet calculations to support team Develop process engineering documents including flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), Major Equipment lists, general arrangements, mass and heat balance calculations, engineering lists, process data sheets, and performance specifications Write documents summarizing work performed Meet schedule requirements Perform site inspections, construction observations, start up and commissioning support, and report preparation Assist with project permit applications, preparations, and processing Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Must have valid drivers' license.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited bachelor's or master's Chemical Engineering program.
  • Typical office environment working with computers.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and process modeling software is a plus

Responsibilities
