The Chemical Engineering Co-op supports Plant Operations as a part of the Technical Group. Additionally, they will assist Process engineers with projects relating to process improvement and optimization, quality improvement, capital project development and implementation, and equipment troubleshooting.

Students will work full time on site (40 hours/week)
Perform process engineering projects as assigned by technical leadership
Maintain a record of completed tasks and provide a monthly report to technical leadership
For at least one project, present findings and conclusions to management
Actively participate in the INEOS Pigments Group Safety programs

Understanding of Flow Diagrams and Process and Instrument Diagrams
Knowledge of process material and energy balances
Ability to develop material energy balances for new or revised installations
Experience in supporting Plant Process Safety Management programs
Participation in investigation of equipment failures or under-performance

Experience in product development trials
Familiarity with Capital Project development and installation
Ability to work in multi-discipline teams to support Plant initiatives in Safety, Six Sigma, Quality and Reliability
