We are currently seeking a Chemical Engineer (Ph.D.) for our Thermal Sciences Practice in Natick, MA. In this role, you will work as part of a team that is responsible for providing technical support for complex problems involving transport phenomena, physical chemistry, chemical reaction, unit operation, and thermodynamics. Applications will span many industries including energy, consumer products, pharmaceutical, and others.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.
  • Strong interest and demonstrated ability in processing and flow of complex fluids, material characterization, unit operations, chemical reactor design and analysis, unit operations, and thermodynamics
  • Strong quantitative skills including mathematical modeling, optimization, and numerical analysis
  • Strong laboratory skills including design and construction of experimental apparatus, analytical chemistry methods, material characterization (e.g., rheometer, TGA, DSC, FT-IR, DMA), and data analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Enduring commitment to professional development as evidenced by a track record of peer-reviewed publications, participation in technical conferences, and commitment to professional engineering licensure or professional certifications
  • Strong desire and ability to tackle a wide variety of engineering problems within and outside their direct areas of specialization

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in the chemical process industry is preferred
