Requirements

  • Licensed Engineer in Arizona is required.
  • 5+ years' experience in the consulting engineering industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD, Outlook, Word, Excel and Bluebeam.
  • Good understanding of the construction process.
  • Familiar with NDS, AISC, ASCE 7, ACI and International Building Codes.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiar with construction documents.
  • High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Design chemical plant piping, processes, and control systems (P&ID) for chemical manufacturing and processing plants.
  • Conceptualization, engineering design, analysis, specifications, calculations, and documentation of hardware and/or process gas, chemical supply systems.
  • Provide input on design reviews, constructability, and coordination with construction resources to manage discipline schedule and budget.
  • Lead inter-discipline coordination efforts and collaborate closely with other disciplines to ensure delivery of a complete, approved, and coordinated scope across a project.
  • Develop and implement innovative engineering and design methodologies to support very aggressive design and construction schedules.
  • Interface and coordinate with Design, Construction, and Manufacturers organizations to ensure facility design is coordinated and to the Manufacturers standards.
  • Understand scope of work and provide complete detailed construction documents utilizing KAEKO standards.
  • Evaluate chemical equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Select and specify equipment and components.
  • Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants.
  • Design and plan layout of equipment.
  • Make decisions and solve problems.
  • Update and use relevant knowledge.
  • Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates.
  • Write specifications utilizing CSI Masterspec.
  • Conduct predesign field inspections and as-buildings.
  • Demonstrate construction document and construction administration acumen.
