About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. In this internship, you will put your education into action in the field to support and participate in assigned project work. You will support the plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments. You will complete technical projects to gain an understanding of the operations of a quarry or aggregate site, learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Commitment and engagement through a high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company.
  • Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision making skills.
