About The Position

As a Chemical Dependency Outpatient Therapist , you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality therapy and counseling services within an intensive outpatient chemical dependency treatment program. Under administrative review, this role combines direct clinical care with program coordination, advocacy, and collaboration—supporting patients, families, and the broader community through compassionate, evidence‑based treatment. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field required
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in clinical substance abuse counseling and education required
  • Full Licensure to counsel substance abuse patients required, including one of the following: Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in research and education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy services for patients enrolled in an intensive outpatient chemical dependency treatment program, including evening therapy sessions
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the care team
  • Obtain authorizations from managed care organizations to ensure appropriate reimbursement for services rendered
  • Coordinate and implement operational policies and procedures related to program functioning
  • Serve as a representative of the program to managed care organizations and other external partners
  • Establish and maintain external contacts where chemical dependency education and services are needed
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve client‑related issues to ensure high standards of care
  • Maintain clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and positive patient outcomes for the program
  • Participate in departmental teaching and research activities, as appropriate
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the responsibilities of the role
